Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 April 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Streakly ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Streakly Android application and website at streakly.eu.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Habit data — habit names, icons, categories, completion logs, and notes you create in the app. This data is stored locally on your device by default.
- Google account — if you sign in with Google to enable cloud sync, we receive your Google account email address and a unique identifier from Google.
Information collected automatically
- Crash reports — if the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics collects anonymised crash data (device model, OS version, stack trace) to help us fix bugs. No personally identifiable information is included.
- Analytics — Firebase Analytics collects anonymised usage events (e.g. screens viewed, features used) to help us understand how the app is used. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you.
- Purchase verification — when you make an in-app purchase, we verify the purchase token with Google Play via a server-side Cloud Function. The token is used only for verification and is not stored.
2. How we use your information
- To provide and improve the Streakly app and its features
- To sync your habit data across devices when you opt in to cloud sync
- To verify in-app purchases and grant premium access
- To diagnose and fix crashes and bugs
- To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the product
3. Data storage and security
Habit data is stored locally on your device using a SQLite database. If you enable cloud sync, your data is stored in Google Firestore, which is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use Firebase Authentication to ensure only you can access your synced data.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, crash reporting, analytics
- Google Play Billing — in-app purchases
5. Data retention
Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or delete it manually. Cloud-synced data is retained until you delete your account or request deletion. Crash and analytics data is retained by Firebase for up to 90 days.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your cloud-synced data
- Opt out of analytics by disabling analytics in your device settings
- Sign out of cloud sync at any time from the app settings
To request data deletion, email us at streakly-support@proton.me.
7. Children's privacy
Streakly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
